A 1.660-inch outside diameter schedule 40 stainless steel pipe mid rail connects to a 1-1/2-inch by 3/4-inch thick solid stock stainless steel post. The pipe rail is joined to the post with an 1/8-inch fillet weld all around and ground smooth. The solid stock post tapers down from a width matching the rail connection.
