A 2x6 pressure-treated intermediate support anchors the assembly beneath a 2 by 4 and 1/2 inch galvanized steel girt. An "L" bracket is welded to the steel girt for structural connection. A 2x6 timber cap sits over the girt, secured by stainless steel headed anchor bolts spaced at two feet on center in staggered rows. A flush wood plug matches the adjacent wood cap to conceal the fastener recess, and 5/4x6 side boards frame the exterior.
