Steel edging extends three inches in depth with the top of the edging positioned one-half inch above the adjacent finish grade. Twelve-inch steel stakes anchor the edging into compacted subgrade. Decomposed granite abuts one side of the edging while four- to six-inch river rock or bark mulch sits on the other side referenced per site plan. Compact grades adjacent to edging to avoid settling.
