Sod is installed with tight beveled joints over planting mix and a prepared sub-grade, placed adjacent to a concrete curb or sidewalk edge with a half-inch vertical clearance. The planting mix is installed per specifications atop compacted sub-grade materials. The concrete edge restrains the sod assembly laterally while providing a clean transition between hardscape and landscape zones.
