Five conduits are arranged within a trench backfilled with clean sand, maintaining a twelve-inch minimum clearance from finished grade. A six-wide metallic warning tape is installed above the sand bed within properly compacted soil. The trench walls contain various conduits including a two-inch polyvinyl chloride schedule eighty conduit for future automatic transfer switch control cables, spare polyvinyl chloride schedule eighty conduits, polyvinyl chloride schedule eighty conduits for future copper cables, and a polyvinyl chloride schedule eighty conduit for future fiber cables containing a one-and-one-quarter-inch rigid innerduct. All conduits are furnished with a pull rope for future cable installation. Finished grade is patched and repaired to match existing conditions.
