The quick coupling valve assembly features a round valve box installed flush with finish grade in turf areas or level with the top of bark mulch in planting areas. A quick coupler connects to a one-inch brass riser of required length, supported by six inches minimum depth of one-half inch washed aggregate. The valve ties into the irrigation main line via a one-inch schedule 80 nipple, an elbow, and a one-inch pre-manufactured swing joint with brass threaded inserts over subgrade compacted to ninety-five percent. The pop-up rotor sprinkler detail features a similar connection to the irrigation main line with a swing joint and riser, positioned up to three inches maximum from adjacent hardscape.
