An HSS brace connects to a structural steel column and beam using a three-quarter inch thick gusset plate welded with quarter-inch fillet welds. Typical continuity plates are provided per the typical collector detail at the column web. The assembly accommodates adjacent beams with connections per plan and a top of concrete fill where it occurs. A three-quarter inch clip is detailed at the corner with specified minimum and maximum clearances.
