A softball pitcher's plate is set flush with the rubber infill and surrounding synthetic turf carpet. The synthetic turf carpet is glued to the top of the concrete footing alongside wood nailers sized per synthetic turf details. A one-quarter-inch gap is maintained around the plate, which is positioned above a concrete footing extending down to the subgrade. A two-inch PVC weep hole is incorporated into the concrete footing, and the top of the pitcher's plate is to be flush with the rubber infill.
