An air and vacuum relief valve connects to an underground polyvinyl chloride or polyethylene pipe and fittings network via a one-half-inch adapter and a one-half-inch riser cut to the required length. The assembly is housed within a six-inch round valve box that terminates flush with the finish grade. Three brick supports rest on a three-quarter-inch gravel sump containing one cubic foot of stone to provide drainage beneath the enclosure. Geotechnical cloth wraps up the sides of the valve box to prevent soil intrusion.
