Stepped concrete retaining walls support multiple pedestrian walkway levels configured with concrete slabs on grade and continuous concrete footings. Metal guardrails anchor directly into the top of the concrete retaining walls and walkway slabs. Compacted structural fill underlies the stepped pavement levels, while an adjacent vertical concrete wall or barrier forms the upper boundary. Drainage and joint conditions are indicated throughout the tiered grade separation.
