An exterior concealed door closer is integrated into a door frame assembly featuring a door leaf sized per schedule and a concealed door operator specified in hardware submittals. Continuous primary sealant is applied on all sides typically between the frame and adjacent construction. The wall assembly consists of six-inch cold-formed metal stud framing with batt insulation and a vapor retarder as occurs. A hinged access panel is suspended from a kicker stud and finished with square edge wood trim fastened to a bent metal angle with a one-quarter-inch minimum clearance.
