A trench is excavated to a minimum depth of thirty-six inches and bedded with clean sand providing two inches of clearance around the conduits. The assembly houses a lateral line with a PVC Schedule 40 sleeve, a pressure main line with a PVC Schedule 40 sleeve twice the diameter of the working pipe, and a control and computer hardware wire sleeve spaced six inches apart. Clean backfill is placed above the sand bed in six-inch lifts up to the hardscape surface. All sleeves must extend a minimum of twelve inches beyond hardscape edges and include APWA standard marking tape installed twelve inches below the surface.
