A 6-inch extra-strong steel outer pipe fits over a 5-inch extra-strong steel inner pipe anchored into a 3-foot square concrete footing. The footing is reinforced with number 4 and number 3 U-shaped reinforcing bars maintaining a minimum 3-inch clear cover and features a 1/2-inch typical chamfer at the top edge. A 1/4-inch galvanized steel plate end cap is fully welded to the pipe, with the weld ground smooth and flush with the face of the inner pipe. A polytetrafluoroethylene disc measuring 5 inches in diameter by 1/2 inch thick sits inside the outer pipe at the top, and a rubber gasket seals the gap between the outer and inner pipes at the bottom. Grease nipples or Zerk fittings are installed on the top and side of the assembly.
