A wide flange steel beam supports a concrete-filled metal deck running parallel to its longitudinal axis. Additional number four reinforcing bars at six-foot lengths are spaced at twelve inches on center, centered over the beam with three-quarters of an inch concrete cover. Deck attachment follows detail one on sheet LO S1.3.4, and shear studs are installed per detail two on sheet LO S1.3.3. Typical deck reinforcement is detailed in the project plans and sections.
