A powder-coated two-and-a-quarter-inch by half-inch steel flat bar handrail is welded to a steel inlay stanchion with a one-eighth-inch fillet weld at direction changes. The stanchion features a countersunk mounting plate secured to a cast-in-place concrete footing using half-inch by four-inch wedge anchors or bracket bolts per structural requirements. The ten-inch diameter by twenty-four-inch deep concrete footing is reinforced with one vertical number four reinforcing bar. A base plate is embedded in the concrete footing per structural design.
