The remote control valve and matching ball valve connect to PVC piping resting on a bed of one-quarter-inch pea gravel at a three-inch depth. A PVC union joins the lateral line to the electrical valve, while a PVC elbow and variable-length PVC pipe connect the assembly down to the main line fitting. Control wires feature a thirty-six-inch expansion loop at each wire connection and are bundled and taped every ten feet. The valve box is sized to fit a minimum Brooks #1419 box with bolt-down covers, set over typical brick supports. A solenoid adapter and actuator attach to the valve, with coiled wire provided for expansion.
