A 600 WOG ball valve is spliced into a PVC supply line using PVC male adaptors and set within a maximum 12-inch deep round plastic box with a steel hinged lockable cover marked B.V. The entire assembly rests on a minimum 6-inch depth of 3/4-inch pea gravel for drainage. The ball valve shall be installed in shrub areas unless otherwise approved. The valve box must be set flush with the finish grade in turf areas and 2 inches above the finish grade in groundcover areas.
