A raised landscape planter box is constructed with sloping concrete walls supported on a concrete base slab. The planter interior contains soil fill over a gravel drainage layer equipped with a central drain pipe. An adjacent wooden deck connects to the exterior wall at a specified height. Surrounding grade finishes include aggregate base and compacted subbase layers over a concrete substrate.
