A wind girt attaches to an exterior cold-formed steel stud wall utilizing a quarter-inch bent plate welded to the steel beam and fastened to a slide clip. The wind beam, sized per plan, connects to a TSN Verticlip SLB fastened with manufacturer-specified screws filling all slots. A one-quarter-inch fillet weld secures the bent plate to the top flange of the beam. Utility punches in the stud must be located a minimum of ten inches away from the connection. One row of bridging is required within twelve inches of the clip.
