A six-inch cast-in-place concrete paving slab bears on a compacted aggregate base over compacted subgrade. The slab maintains a one percent minimum slope toward drainage. A flush planting area or crushed stone paving abuts the concrete edge. Reinforcing for the concrete slab is specified per civil drawings.
