The assembly features a 3/16-inch thick powder-coated aluminum planter box set upon adjustable leveling shims and resting on a structural slab with a sloped concrete slab below. The planter interior contains a planting area with planting soil, a mulch layer, planting soil, and a planter drain connected to an irrigation stub. The planter walls are framed with a 1/4-inch by 1-inch powder-coated aluminum flatbar stiffening rib welded to the wall, and a powder-coated aluminum stiffening plate fastened to the stiffening ribs with machine screws. A damp proofing layer is applied to the exterior face of the planter box. Adjacent concrete pavers on structure are set on the slab with a 1 percent slope, and a drain outlet weep hole allows water to drain to the sloped concrete slab below.
