An irrigation shutoff valve installation features a ball valve sized to match the PVC main line, connected via Schedule 80 threaded nipples as required with Teflon tape applied to all threaded pipe connections. The valve assembly is housed within a 10-inch by 15-inch rectangular valve box with a 6-inch extension, positioned on two 6x2x16 concrete block caps placed one on each side of the box. A half-inch wire cloth gopher screen wraps up the sides beneath the box. The irrigation valve box lid is branded with the respective irrigation component.
