This landscape detail shows a shrub drip irrigation emitter installation in both section and plan view. The threaded emitter is connected via a half-inch schedule 40 black PVC male adapter and schedule 40 PVC tees to the PVC drip system supply line. Distribution tubing, consisting of half-inch IPS sticky-stripe algae resistant PVC flex hose between fourteen and forty-eight inches long, supplies multiple plants from a single PVC connection. The bottom of the emitter is positioned flush with the top of the mulch finish grade, installed a maximum of six inches from the center of the plant. Distribution tubing is installed a minimum of twelve inches below finished grade and brought to the surface at each plant. Joints are glued using P-70 primer with IPS-795 PVC solvent cement.
