A Carson plastic valve box is set flush with the finish grade, maintaining a twenty-four-inch minimum depth. The enclosure houses a gate valve sized per the line, connected to a PVC main line with unions matching the pipe size on both sides. The cross top handle must be extended to within thirty-six inches of the finished grade, and valve box extensions are used as required by depth. The entire assembly rests on a minimum six-inch deep bed of pea gravel supported by four total bricks underneath.
