A PVC main line is bedded on a minimum of six inches of pea gravel with brick supports beneath unions on both sides of the assembly. A gate valve sized per line and specified as cast iron with a screw-in bonnet is installed for main isolation with unions matching the pipe size on both sides. The cross top handle extends to within thirty-six inches of finished grade, housed inside a Carson plastic valve box with valve box extensions used as required by depth. The valve box is set flush with the finish grade and maintains a twenty-four inch minimum burial depth.
