The concrete runnel features a precast or cast-in-place concrete channel resting on a four-inch gravel sub-base layer. The channel spans a total width of two feet, with a one-foot-eight-inch interior width and a maximum depth of one and one-half inches at the center. The concrete thickness maintains a minimum of four inches above the sub-grade. A surface drain grate is set flush with the surrounding concrete paving, with the slab sloped toward the drain.
