A three-inch perforated drain pipe with filter sock sits at the base of a one-foot deep trench filled with one-half inch clean crushed dark gray drain rock. Non-woven filter fabric lines the trench walls around the aggregate and pipe. The surrounding field slopes at one and one-half percent toward the drain, conforming to existing grade at existing redwood trees.
