A cold-formed steel brace is connected perpendicular to metal deck flutes using three 3/8-inch-diameter Hilti Kwik Bolt TZ expansion anchors with a minimum embedment of 2 inches, centered in the deck flutes. Three number 12 self-tapping metal screws secure the brace connection. An L4x4x14 gauge angle ties into the metal stud per plan.
