The paving assembly consists of one-to-two-inch thick Pioneer Blue natural stone flagstone pavers set beside a six-inch Portland cement concrete slab with a two-and-a-half-inch inset. The concrete slab features an exposed aggregate finish and a control joint per M.A.S.S. standards. Below the concrete sits a two-inch layer of rigid board insulation over a six-inch depth of Type-IIA classified fill compacted to ninety-five percent. A Type-A geotextile separation fabric underlies the classified fill at the subgrade.
