A six-inch valve box encloses a Hunter PLD-BV shut-off valve connected to a lateral or header pipe. The box bears on three brick supports set into a minimum one cubic foot pea gravel sump for drainage. Finish grade sits flush with the top of the valve box, maintaining two inches in bed areas relative to adjacent hardscape or planter edges.
