A PVC main line rests at the bottom of a excavated trench with a minimum cover of one foot six inches below finish grade. Bundle controller wires are positioned under the main line and on the opposite side from swing joints when lateral and main trenches share a space. Detect-a-tape is placed six inches above the pipe where required. The trench is filled with clean, compacted, suitable native backfill, and bundled wires are left untaped to the main line.
