A decomposed granite paving assembly rests upon a compacted subgrade and six-inch compacted aggregate base. The wearing course consists of four inches of crushed stone mixed with a binder per the manufacturer, laid in two equal lifts and compacted. A one percent minimum slope directs drainage across the surface. Conditions show the paving assembly abutting cast-in-place concrete as well as concrete walls and curbs.
