A cold-formed metal stud connects to an overhead metal deck using a 14-gauge plate measuring sixteen inches by one foot nine inches secured with sixteen number ten sheet metal screws. An angle member measuring two by four by fourteen gauge and one foot seven inches long is attached using three number ten sheet metal screws. Maximum hanging weight per single stud shall not exceed seventy-five pounds.
