Exterior concrete stairs feature a rounded tread nose edge with a one-half inch radius. Troweled grooves are installed near the leading edge of each tread, spanning the entire width and length of the grooved area. A contrasting black concrete stain is applied in two coats within the grooved area. Grooves are required at each tread of all exterior stairs.
