A 1-1/2-inch-diameter steel pipe vertical post is embedded into a core-drilled hole in a concrete slab or footing at a maximum spacing of 5 feet on center. The core-drilled hole is 1 inch larger than the post outer diameter, providing a continuous void filled with non-shrink grout. An anchor depth equal to 4 times the railing diameter is maintained. A stainless steel collar sits at the base of the post over a top bead of sealant.
