Lateral drip tubing is embedded within amended planting soil per specifications above the subgrade, topped with a three-inch layer of mulch at the finish grade. Perimeter laterals are positioned two to four inches from the edge of the planting area typically, while internal lateral spacing is sized per plan. The tubing is set at a depth designated as dimension A below the finish grade.
