This connection details the framing intersection between a cold-formed steel sill section and a jamb stud for wall spans up to four feet. A two-inch by two-inch by sixteen-gauge clip angle, sized one-half inch less than the stud width, is secured with three number-ten self-tapping sheet metal screws at each leg. The sill section connects to the vertical jamb stud, which requires a minimum ten-inch distance from the top and bottom to the nearest web punch-out.
