Concrete unit pavers are laid with a one-quarter-inch joint filled with ASTM No. 9 or 89 aggregate. The pavers rest on a two-inch leveling course of ASTM No. 8 aggregate, which is supported by a four-inch base course of ASTM No. 57 aggregate. A geotextile fabric separates the base course from the compacted subgrade below. The permeable assembly transitions adjacent to a cast-in-place concrete slab.
