A compacted decomposed granite path sits at a minimum depth of three inches, held down one-half inch from the top of the metal edge and adjacent concrete paving. The assembly rests over a four-inch minimum depth aggregate base layer and compacted sub-grade, separated by geotextile fabric. A mulch bed bordered by geotextile fabric flanks the pathway edge. Positive drainage across the path must be maintained by the contractor to prevent low spots and puddling.
