Two-inch by six-inch thermally treated wood decking sits over wood purlins and frames into a six-inch by six-inch horizontal steel I-beam. The wood face is set back one-half inch from the edge of the steel beam. Predrilled fasteners secure the wood framing through the purlins into the wood members. A six-inch by six-inch steel I-beam post supports the horizontal frame.
