A tree protection fence consists of chain-link fabric supported by two-inch diameter galvanized steel posts installed at eight feet on center and anchored a minimum of thirty-six inches into the ground outside the crown drip line. The fence stands six feet high and incorporates a tree protection sign with specific wording prohibiting material or machinery storage. A four-inch thick layer of mulch is maintained at the base, and existing grade is preserved within the protected area. General notes restrict pruning and equipment operation within the fenced zone without arborist approval.
TREE PROTECTION FENCE - DO NOT MOVE OR REMOVE WITHOUT APPROVAL FROM CITY/PROJECT ARBORIST. NO STORING OF MATERIALS OR MACHINERY.
