A 1-1/2-inch diameter steel pipe vertical post is anchored into a core-drilled hole in a colored concrete slab at a maximum spacing of five feet on center. The core-drilled hole is one inch larger in outside diameter than the post and is filled with non-shrink grout and sealed at the top with sealant. A quarter-inch stainless steel collar surrounds the base of the post at the concrete surface. The colored concrete slab rests on a compacted aggregate base over geofoam.
