A fixed security barrier bollard is anchored into a cast-in-place concrete footing. The assembly features a stainless steel post with a 4.3 inch base diameter, anchored internally with rebar and embedded in a 1 foot 6 inch diameter concrete footing reinforced with number 5 verticals and number 4 ties at 6 inches on center. An alternative configuration utilizes a 10 inch by 6 inch by 1/4 inch hollow structural section steel post incorporating a recessed Knox box and a tubular steel cap. The concrete footing bears on a compacted subgrade beneath the finish surface and concrete paving.
