An irrigation pipe trench is excavated below the finish grade with depth per specifications. A two-inch layer of clean backfill sits under all piping as required by specifications, supporting a PVC pressure mainline pipe with a control wire bundle taped to it and a PVC non-pressure lateral line pipe above. A PVC sleeve contains one pipe only per sleeve at the specified depth. Backfill and compaction requirements follow the irrigation specifications, maintaining a six-inch minimum clearance. Notes restrict other trades from using the irrigation trench, mandate twenty-four inches of cover for direct burial cable, require PVC schedule forty sleeves for all wiring and piping under paving, and prohibit vertical stacking of pipes in the same trench.
