Landscape boulders are embedded into the subgrade with an excavation depth that accommodates varying boulder sizes. One-third to one-half of the boulder height remains exposed above the surrounding surface material, which is installed per the planting plan. Rock placement requires field approval by the owner's representative prior to backfilling.
