Pressure and non-pressure utility pipes are installed in a trench below finish grade with specified minimum burial depths and clearances. A pressure main line is laid at the trench bottom with direct burial low-voltage control wires bundled and taped to the pipe at ten feet on center. A non-pressure lateral line is positioned above the main line. Backfill is placed, saturated, and compacted to ninety percent density.
