An underground irrigation mainline assembly features a ten-inch round valve box installed over a minimum six-inch layer of pea gravel. A two-inch PVC sleeve with a marker cap is notched over the valve for stability and surrounded by the gravel fill. The mainline connects to a four-inch schedule 80 PVC nipple, a three-quarter-inch brass stop valve, and a Marlex street elbow turned downwards into a gravel sump of required size. A schedule 80 PVC elbow and variable-length PVC nipple complete the drainage and supply run.
