A football goal post is anchored within a cast-in-place concrete footing below the finish surface. The vertical post extends upward to a curved gooseneck section supporting the crossbar at a height of 10 feet above the finish grade, maintaining a minimum clearance of 6 feet 8 inches. The front edge of the crossbar aligns with the inside edge of the field endline. Footing size and reinforcing are specified separately, and concrete batch plant inspection is not required.
