The decorative planter pot is installed on minimum three risers spaced evenly beneath the pot, elevating it above the finished grade of hardscape surfaces. A drainage hole at the base sits above a three-inch depth of washed number fifty-seven gravel, which is separated from the soil layers by a geotextile filter fabric. The lower portion of the pot is filled with eighty-five percent compacted lightweight soil mix up to an internal form rib for reinforcement. The upper portion contains planting mix per specifications surrounding the centered and plumb trunk and rootball, with a six-inch diameter clear of mulch at the trunk flare.
