A twelve-inch valve box with cover is set at finish grade over a three-inch minimum depth of three-quarter-inch washed gravel bed supported by bricks at the corners. The assembly houses a normally open master valve with wired connections to a satellite controller spare station featuring a thirty-six-inch wire loop, concentric reducers, and a Rain Bird FS series flow sensor with polyethylene cable running to flow sensing equipment. Straight pipe runs maintain specific clearances requiring ten times the pipe diameter upstream and five times the pipe diameter downstream of the flow sensor.
